103 – Reply Hazy, Try Again

Guess who got Star Wars: The Old Republic? If you said me, then you are correct! One fact about me is that I'm a big Star Wars fan. I remember watching the original trilogy back when I was in Jr. High and was home from school because I had a really bad case of the flu. Since that day I was a dedicated fan. Well...until Episode 1 that is. I am not going to go into why Episode 1 ruined my love for Star Wars because many understand and the Red Letter Media review summarizes the hatred for it perfectly: http://redlettermedia.com/plinkett/star-wars/star-wars-episode-1-the-phantom-menace But it was Bioware that made me love Star Wars again when they made the game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. It had the space opera story and added to the lore. This game's story also made me go "Ah, the Sith's code makes sense...see why someone would join them" and altered my views of the Sith as just being empty evil characters. But I was excited to hear that they were going to make a Star Wars MMORPG. Sure I had some doubts because Episode 1 scarred me so badly, but I had hope. So far I've been playing for about a week and I'm happy to say that the game is awesome. Well atleast for me. Most others are excited to create a Jedi or a Sith lord. Me? I was excited to create a Smuggler, apparently the one class that not that many people want to play. But I don't want to be Luke or Darth Vader, I want to be Han Solo. The scoundrel with a heart of credits. And so far it's been so fun playing Disara on one of their RP servers.
