Where are the vampires? There are several ways I could answer this...
In the Comic
Anything involving the Zombie Ranch story is pretty much the writer's territory. But I do know for a fact that there are no Vampires in the ZR world...at least I don't think so...In General
If you're asking about the real world, then I would have to say that they all dwell in the world of fiction and TV shows. If there were any vampires in the real world, then I think they would point to TV shows like True Blood and not Twilight. Vampires would probably rather be hunted down by Van Helsing than be compared to the Twilight vampires. In My Mind!
Now if you're asking about vampires in my own imagination, then I imagine that all the vampires are indoors playing video games or table top RPGs. I enjoy the thought of vampires being less romanticized, like they're the nerds in the monster universe. In my mind, a group of them are sitting around a table and are trying to invent the next big RPG called "Sunshine and Salvations" where they play characters that can run around in the sunlight fighting good.In Music
Finally, if you're asking musically, then Jonathan Coulton sums it up best on what happened to the vampires...or at least one vampire: "Blue Sunny Day" by Jonathan CoultonIf you have a question that you would like me to answer next week or in future comic posts, then feel free to ask in the comments or head over to my facebook page and ask: https://www.facebook.com/adawnwolf

New question: where’s the heavy artillery? I mean, the six-shooters and Winchesters are all well and good…for the tourists, that is. But come *on*…where’s the semi-auto pistols, the assault rifles, and especially the sniper rifles? Inquiring minds want to know! 😀

Well, since Dawn asked for it, I guess I could let her field this… though probably she’ll just end up tossing it over my way.
We know Rosa was carrying a pistol when she arrived. As for the rest, we just ain’t seen them around the ranch. So far. Revolvers and bolt-action rifles are nice and reliable for everyday needs.
If you want a real “tourist” gun, there’s always The Peacekeeper. But the Z Ranch crew wouldn’t be caught dead with one of those—or more accurately, they’d be rightly afraid of getting caught dead, or worse.
