    Didn’t see this coming…

    Unless Rosa has the hots for Uncle Chuck, which is more than likely, Why would she be right there as he falls into the truck bed? She runs from danger and is the last character that I would expect heroics from.

    If there are still zeds out there, and we know there are (See panel 3), why isn’t Suzie still occupied rounding them up?

    Why between panels 3 and 4, which have almost the same perspective, does Rosa’s head appear to shrink and Uncle Chucks grow? An argument can be made that Rosa’s head moves away while Chucks comes forward, but that still doesn’t explain the large size shift of Rosa’s head.

    I like the last panel, nice expression. Still waiting to see what happened to Muriel.

    Anon, I will admit that I did use models for panels 3&4 and it looks like that in the photo. But as my art teacher would say, “If the model looks weird, it’s the artist’s job to make it look right”. So basically I failed to notice as I was drawing from the reference pictures….my bad.

    I think the model put her head up and back in a weird angle that makes it look like her head is smaller in a weird way…who knows?

    As Pikinanou brings up, sometimes even a… “cautious” individual ends up having to choose between the frying pan and the fire. Heroism for Rosa? More of a side effect, but if you’re Uncle Chuck (or Brett), you ain’t complainin’…

    And if she’s pulled the hammer back (“click”) she’s feeling testy and sending a warning…you don’t need to do that, and if you do, now it’s on a hair trigger.

      Yep, “testy” might be an understatement to describe Suzie’s feelings right now. Originally we wanted the click to be her locking the cylinder back in place after reloading, but it just proved too difficult to represent in a still image, so we went with the classics.

      Pulling the hammer back on a DA revolver at least makes more sense than that common movie standby of someone racking the slide on their pistol to show they mean business, which I always found a little hilarious: “Wait, you had it pointed at him without a round chambered?” 😉
