The Brujefe is of course referring to the old anecdotal accounts that certain primitive tribes refused to have their pictures taken because it would steal their souls or otherwise somehow be used to harm them. Apparently the Huachucas' superstitious nature doesn't quite go that far, though perhaps in this case it doesn't go far enough? After all, it could be argued there is a very real "evil eye" upon both them and the Z Ranch, and it forecasts ill omen for anyone caught in its gaze...
That's a wrap for Episode Eight! Next Wednesday, Dawn will have the traditional "after the fact" issue cover for your enjoyment, and Clint will continue his weekly blog, and/or you can return as we kick off Episode Nine on February 26th with our 200th story page! Whew. We might finally be getting to the point of an intimidating archive.
Also as some late breaking news for those of you in the L.A. area, we might be making an appearance at the Frank & Sons Collectibles Show on February 22nd, courtesy of Nuke the Fridge. We'll try to get confirmation out by Twitter and our Facebook page once we know for sure, although parking and admission is advertised as free so there shouldn't be a problem with getting tickets. Happy Valentine's Day and Presidents' Day Weekend to those celebrating!

So Drugs, Snake Venom and Zombie Blood? I guess drinking zombie blood is not going to infect you?

its the secret of her youth! Me? No, not interested, thank you. I’m fine with my wrinkles, especially if it means I can keep my sanity and my life 🙂

I’m not going to claim Chuck is a 100% reliable narrator, but his lecture on zombie blood seems to still hold true.

It’s the post apocaliptic Manson Family

I can’t work out what’s happening in the third panel. The Brujefe seems to be twisted oddly.
