As Iphigenia Langhorne explained previously, in the ranks of the Repop generation it's considered kind of weird if you don't smoke. What, you expecting to live long enough to die of cancer? And haven't you heard there's a cure for that?
Too bad there's no cure for zombie bites. Suzie tried to ease her former foe's last moments and all it did was waste a cigarette.
Won’t lie, I was expecting the opposite of that: her joining the killer party and Pa dying, but in this case, I just thought they killed him before zombifying her. 🙁
Sometimes I look back on individual page titles and think that I could have done better, although in this case I’ll stick with it since it means I can still use “Daddy Issues” for a future comic. 😀
Sounds like they “turned” her dad, like they did for the woman in the comic, and she was the one to key her guy friend. Still wondering who cut the cable with the torch. I wasn’t very sympathetic to Darlene, this is gut-wrenching.
“Still wondering who cut the cable with the torch.”
The implication (on the last page of the previous issue… or maybe the one before that, don’t remember) is the mysterious guy watching everything, probably via the stealth camera drone, but that’s not certain, of course, only implied.

I’d have called this strip “Daddy issues”, but that’s just me.

norm "Who, me?" zone
Don’t be too disparaging of girls with “daddy issues” …. when you get a few years older you may reap the benefits.
