UPDATING OCCASIONALLY (FOR NOW)

68 – Z Is For Zane

It has been a very busy week in the Web Design world. The big one was the big overhaul of my website Art of Dawn. Now people can comment on the artwork that I post up and I’ll post blogs that pertain to things happening to me in the art/illustration world. Plus it helps me look a little more professional while looking for creative work or trying to get into conventions’ Art Shows. I’ll post updates on my Twitter or Facebook Fan Page for anyone that wants to keep up to date on my personal artwork. And then there's been the Yakmala site, a group that I’m a part of where we watch really bad movies. I’m not very good at writing reviews (hence why my blogs tend to be small), but I’m great at building community websites. I like doing web design, but I’m still having the issue that I want to draw. I got in trouble once at a secretarial job due to me drawing on post-it notes all the time when answering phones or when it was a slow day. And it’s a dangerous thing when an artist becomes bored…a pair of pants I was wearing while waiting in line at Disneyland weren’t safe when I had markers on hand. But it was suggested in that secretarial job to possibly go back to school to be an artist. I headed off to college soon after. However, I needed a website, I had enough knowhow to make a really craptastic website. So I decided to take some web design classes while training to be an artist and ended up liking it. So I like web design, but I love drawing/art…perfect for doing Web Comics!

  1. I know he may be hard to deal with while crafting the comics, but the more time spent with Frank the more I like him.

To me he comes across as one of those guys you wouldn’t really want to spend a long road trip with but you’d want him watching your back for you when the fecal matter hits the rotary air circulating device.

  2. I feel the same way about characters like Woodrow F. Call in Lonesome Dove (ironic that that movie is mostly “road trip” i.e. cattle drive). 🙂 Anyhow if we’re getting that much of a sense of Frank across, then all our work is succeeding.

  3. I don’t mind silent types. I’m mostly silent myself. Except sometimes, when I get so bored that I have to make noises just to entertain myself. But I try to avoid becoming that bored.

  4. Funny but true, don’t think good old Frank has smiled sense he got that promotion.

  5. C’mon, Frank, lighten up! 😉
