02 – Saddle Up!

Long Beach Comic Con has come and it has gone. I spent many a day slaving over making stuff for this event and expected my stuff to sell to only friends and family that visited. Happily enough I was wrong and we had a good portion of people interested in buying our Zombie Ranch comic and one of my Bits of Nothing samplers. I also never expected to get tips from some that have been doing Comic Conventions for a long while. The other surprising moment was one that made the writer of Zombie Ranch very happy. A young quiet girl with her father came to our table and was looking at the comics. He asked her if she wanted to buy something and pointed to the Zombie Ranch comic. He asked her if she was sure because she only had so much money and the Bits of Nothing was only $1. She pushed the Bits of Nothing away and wanted a comic about Zombies. This made us so happy because a small little girl like that didn't want what a normal girl would want, she wanted Zombies! She really reminds me of someone...oh that would be me at that age. Also it was great sitting next to Cari Corene for the entire LBCC stay. Her stuff was great to see and am sad that now that I finally get to meet her, she will be moving away. Oh well, hopefully I will see you at future conventions. And now I have to decide what convention to maybe plan for next...or if I should. I really want to try to get a place at the San Diego Comic Con...but they want the money and stuff by October 23rd...
