Actual archival footage, or "dramatic recreation"? Sometimes it can be hard to tell the difference in the Zombie Ranch world, but we do imagine the first debut of AAVDRO technology was a pretty big deal. At least for those people who had the luxury of focusing on more than just not being eaten day by day.
And speaking of surviving day by day, Friend of the Ranch Justin Robinson has another novel locked and loaded and looking for Kickstarter contributions from those interested. The project is already successful, but there's still opportunity for extra goodies to be had as an early supporter, above and beyond snagging a print copy of the book itself.
Why support? Well, this new book, City of Devils, has a lot of elements a Zombie Ranch fan might find appealing. Imagine a noir-era Los Angeles, circa the mid-1950s, where just after World War II ended the Night War began, where all the B-Movie monsters of Hollywood turned out to be frighteningly real. Ten years later the remnants of humanity in California are an oppressed underclass, free to move about during the day but "fair game" at night should they be caught out of their carefully warded homes after dark.
That's the world in which Nick Moss, the only human P.I. in the city, is hired by a doppleganger actress client to find her missing mummy councilman husband. And it just gets weirder from there. Humorous horror in an alternative reality, post-apocalypse setting? Yeah, you guys might like. Click on the cover below to check it out!

You cannot tell me one of the nerds on that team wouldn’t have named it after chemistry’s constant.
Plus it’s tongue twisting enough that the general populace would call em avocados.

Love that last panel; Love. It. 😀

I’m not entirely sure if she dresses that way in the actual lab, or just gussied up some for her TED… err, ZED talk 😉
And yes, that last panel turned out purty, didn’t it? I helped some, but as you might expect Dawn gets most of the credit.

I love the fact no one ever questions Artificial Gravity or Anti Gravity mcguffin tech 😉

That’s because there’s a perfectly reasonable explanation. It runs on Phlebotinum.

Possibly proposed and overruled. But then again, the ever-creative general population just eventually ended up calling them ‘cambots’, anyhow 😀
