We have pointed out the irony already, but it bears repeating: the pens staying closed in the event of power loss is a safety feature. Frank is no doubt thinking sourly of cables and batteries, but there's no time to be smug about it while Suzie's life hangs in the balance.

    Can Suzie take off the coat and use it as a distraction? That might give her enough time to climb up (if climbing is possible). 🙂
