Suzie sure throws a mean right cross. I wonder if Darlene thought for a moment she was going to the light? Of course, just because Darlene's woken up from her concussion doesn't mean she's going to be all that lucid or active, no matter what Hollywood might have you think. But even a not-quite-doctor like Chuck knows the sooner you wake up, the better your chances -- assuming the hot-blooded rancher you pissed off doesn't see you again...

    There are reasons you don’t mess with any kind of ranch hand, Their ability to floor you being one of them.

    My guess for the ending of this entire story: The one orchestrating the show is going to end up with much worse than a concussion and a black eye (and maybe some other form of head trauma) after all is said and done.
