Welp, there's the in-comic confirmation for anyone who still might have been wondering: only mammals (which includes humans, of course) seem to be able to become zombified. No zom-birds, or zom-bees, or zom-rattlesnakes have ever been observed (though that doesn't stop them from getting eaten).
As for the rest, well, here we have at least one example of how theology has evolved in twenty or so years since the dead started rising again. The surviving Buddhists, atheists, and even other Christians no doubt have their own take on the metaphysics of the Weird New West, but for today the padre has his say. And Clint has some further commentary to offer here.
You know, I was joking last week on how Iphigenia is propably in various talk show only to boost her popularity, but I got to give it to her, I like her questions. I can’t blame the priest for being unable to answer her question about mammals but I find it funny that he has no logical explanation.
You have my thumb up this time, Iphi 😛
I would think the ocean would be even more dangerous than ever.
Orca and Blue whales would make fishing, even if limited to factory ships, extremely hazardous.

If only mamals become them, what about the Platypus?
They are mamals. Egglaying, posionous mammals, but still mammals.
