The Eaton Fire was a very near miss on our place and it was good to take a break while we dealt with insurance, cleanup, etc. It could have been a lot worse for us but being on the frontlines of a natural disaster is a heck of a thing for the nerves. I walk outside and the neighborhood still smells like smoke.

Is that a trot or a canter? By the hair, it’s not a walk, that’s for sure.
Miss my horsing days, and my mustang would do things no sensible domestic horse would ever consider. Climb rocks, trees, cliffs, whatever.
Had good taste in beer too – did a blind taste test with Samuel Adams and my cherry homebrew in Samuel Adams bottles. He’d drink mine but not Sam’s ….
