I think he resorted to dramatization with the McCartys and the various shenanigans who herded them to and through long ago.

@Anonymous: As far back as the “Zane Style” interlude, people have said that she is likely to die. And he said explicitly that he needs Drama there, to keep everyone and home content.

But it does start sounding as if he knows her a lot better then he let on and it might be partially personal.

In the post-fire chaos we forgot to mention, no comic this week. Things are intact but there's still cleanup of smoke and ash to do, insurance to wrangle, etc. We had a really close call.
We're going to push the start date of Episode 23 back to February 26th.
