485 – Proof Of Life

[3RD EDIT FROM CLINT 7/6/21: I just wanted to keep you all informed. Both my mother and then my aunt (her sister) ended up dying within a month of each other. Between that and everything to be done with remaining family in the wake of their passing, Dawn and I have discussed and will be remaining on hiatus for the remainder of the Summer. Right now we're looking at September/October for a resumption of the comic, presuming the universe is kind enough to lay off for awhile.] [2ND EDIT FROM CLINT 5/29/21: After an unexpected and serious illness (non-COVID related) my mother passed away earlier this week. Dawn and I are dealing with the aftermath of this as well as just needing time to grieve. Thank you for your patience and understanding.] [EDIT FROM CLINT 5/19/21: In case you didn't see our Facebook post, Dawn and I are currently in the midst of an ongoing family emergency and have decided to place the comic on hiatus until we can get things sorted. I will update this post again when we have a game plan for return.]   Get it? Because alcohol has a "proof" and... Okay okay, no Chuck jokes outside the comic. For now.

  1. Where’d the drone go? Is it hovering outside the frame, or did the operator get bored and zoom it over to someone else?

  2. As a brewer who’s made ale, wine, sake and done a little stovetop distilling, I’d love to talk shop with Chuck.

  3. I second Norman’s comment. I’d love to know how he’s even making it happen without everything ending up tasting like the contraband coffin varnish made in prison.

  4. I’ve talked with somebody who made that stuff in prison, and I would embrace sobriety first.

    And second, and third.

  5. As someone who prefers to avoid Facebook for various reasons, thanks for updating the main site. I’ll keep you in my thoughts and prayers, for whatever that is worth.

  6. My condolences to you and the rest of your family.

  7. Y’all have my deepest sympathies for the loss of your mom. I went through that a year and a half ago, and still struggle with it.

  8. My sympathies. If you want them, here are some virtual hugs (((()))) (yes, that is a little consent joke in there.)

  9. My sympathies for the loss of your mom. It is especially hard when it is unexpected. Take care of you selves.

  10. Thak you for the update. I understand that this is a very difficult situation. Take all the time you need. We’ll be here when you get back. Bless.

  11. I’m so sorry for your loss. Please take as long as you need.
