87 – From Dusk ‘Til Dawn

Silent pages can be hard because I tend to have to draw more, add details to the background and pump up the facial expressions or body language since. But this is also why it's fun! There are a lot of times where a complicated background will just end up being covered up by word balloons. This one was fun because the writer sketched out what he wanted with a lot of detail and I did my best to do his cute little doodle justice and added a few things to hopefully improve the image. I hope you all enjoy this page and now...it's time for this artist to rest...for now.

    As for the “object”, that’s one of Dawn’s additions, but I figured it out right away. Let’s see if anyone else does…

    I’m really not getting it. The right-most portion looks like the blaze of a horse, and the left it’s tail. I can imagine a honey badger-styled superhero/villain, but I’m pretty sure that’s not it, although I think I just got my next Champions character. Is it something silouetted against the moon? A rooster? The night seems to pass uneventfully, so I don’t think it’s Zeke’s family going all stealthy…like that would happen. I don’t know. Help!!!

    LMAO I was looking at the panels and saw the goat, total “OMFG! That’s so freaking awesome!!!” moment. Has me giggling, esp thinking back to the time Rosie saw him on the roof and was like “wtf?!” XD AWESOME!!!!!!

    Got it. My mind can stop running wild. Although I still like the idea of a ninja honey badger.

    Honey badgers hardly need to be stealthy. Honey badgers don’t climb trees, they level the forest.

    You’ve got to admit, it would make a good superhero/villain. I’m not sure which. Maybe an anti-hero.

    That’s the problem, The perfect tagline for the character would severely limit its marketablilty.

    That is an awesome goat for certain! Which wouldn’t be much of a problem except that goats pee … a LOT. I don’t know if zombies do though. Hmmm. They do ingest, they must expel at some point.

    Well, as Chuck already said, zombies of all types are… real efficient… 😀 Don’t mean they smell good, though.

    Wow, the contrast on my work computer is not very good. The goat was clear as a bell on my laptop.
